Hello all, I know many had signed lease before me, so i would think Id be hearing about some renewals by now. My 5 years is up in April. Anyone heard of Gulfport holding up to the renewal arrangement, or they just letting them go? Guernsey County Madison Township.

Just heard some folks real close to Winterset just received a check in the mail to re-new their lease from Gulfport. Not naming any names.

Ok, so nobody cares, I get that, but they,Gulfport < has sent out so many letters to folks around winterset/antrim area, saying that they will NOT be renewing their leases, that this seems kinda strange. This property has a Markwest pipeline running real close, and the Groh well pad is not far. Could it be? they may have a new well pad in mind? one that could be hooked up to a pipeline immediately? They screwed up bigtime on the Grohl well. Understand that it was their 1st lateral in the Utica. they didn't know ewhat they were doing. Now that they do! I think they may see the potential for profits in the Winterset area. OR, maybe the State is ready to cash in on the mineral rights under Salt Fork?

Thanks for the update Bo. As I mentioned earlier GP said they were not renewing all leases in that area. Based on a call I made to the field office. They told me they were in process of notifying all land owners and courthouse they would be "releasing" the mineral rights.. but I have not heard a peep from them since, and that was March. am about 1+/- mile from Groh well head. Your note is encouraging, but im taking it with a grain of salt.

it is good news. Although a lot of folks are getting letters from Gulfport, in the Antrim/Winterset area, saying they will not be renewing their leases, this landowner, near Winterset, just got a renewal check, for another 5 years. This tells me that Gulfport hasn't totally given up on the area. They probably are planning on coming back and drilling. This area is around 65% liguid. So I'm thinking they will wait for oil to reach $75. before they return. Marathon has bought out MarkWest, and are in the process of laying a pipeline from Cadiz to their refinery in Canton. So the liguid natural gas products can get to where they are used quickly by the end of this year. I feel the new wells they drill in the area will be big producers of oil & NGL.s Just look at the Red Hill Farms wells #s from the winterset pad by Ascent.About the best in the State!

GP did confirm with me today they sent appropriate paperwork to the courthouse to relinquish my lease therefore making it available for a new lease with anyone else. I never received any letter notifying me of this.

That's good,Chuck.  Some companies have to be coaxed to release their expired leases. Like pulling teeth sometimes. At least your minerals will be available for lease if there is another go-around. Acsent may someday be interested. they like OIL. So does Carrizo. Both companies have had great success between Seneca lake & Salt Fork. Gulfport may even try again, thinking they can offer about 1/2 of what they would need to renew their present expiring leases for. I hope not too many people fall for that trick!

Signed up with GP , have about another 8 months on the old lease if I'm guessing right . We are by 22 & 285 , no letter either way as of yet. Fingers crossed !

I know a few people over by Londonderry where they let the lease expire.  Time to start another group?????

Family member belongs to a different group that signed with Shell . I guess they are trying to re-sign some of the group with a Crap lease. I don't have any more info other than that .  And it starts all over again . Bests wishes for all !

Some neighbors and I have been approached by Eclipse for a new 8 year lease. $1k acre per year, 15/18% net/gross option at signing. I don't think it's referred to as net/gross but should know what I'm saying. Guernsey co / Madison twp.

Another LandMan approached today from Ascent.  $1k per acre for 10 year. 17%

 Hope you said; No thanks!
