XTO has changed their payment dates and owner/customer numbers

Hello Group!

I contacted XTO today to see why I hadn't received my normal monthly payment.  I usually receive my oil payment between the 18th and 20th of the month.  Looks like payments will be delayed from now on by one week.  I will also be getting new a new owner number.  I was notified of the owner number change via the US Mail.  This is how they replied to my original email inquiry:

Dear Valued Interest Owner:

 

XTO Energy (“XTO”) is currently upgrading to a new system for revenue calculation and check write.  This new system will allow XTO to more efficiently calculate revenue and distribute checks to interest owners each month.  As with any new system, there may be issues when navigating the transfer of information from one system to another. Please allow sufficient time to receive your January royalty payment based on the updated check write dates shown below.

 

Our monthly check write dates will now occur on the 25th and the last day of the each month. 

 

Please don’t hesitate to contact us with any questions.

does your lease contract allow for that?

Yes, it stipulates that the payment must be made no later than the last day of the month.  It's about 5 days later than they have paid in the last 3 years.  Actually, many times the money was deposited in my account a few days earlier too.
