Mineral Rights & Lease Consolidation
How common is the outright purchasing of mineral rights or the consolidation of existing gas leases in PA? Are gas leases too fragmented now to allow for long lateral drilling? This seems to be a potential issue for new drilling activity.

I am in PA, share acreage with many, many heirs and get offers to purchase all the time. Looking at the declaration pool documents it seems quite a few heirs have sold their shares. I don't know anything about long lateral drilling but it hasn't seemed to have affected regular drilling.
