I couldn’t find a public source naming a company leasing specifically in Westland Township. Ascent Resources is the most active operator in Guernsey County. In July the county commissioners approved a road use agreement for Ascent’s Circle Oaks pad in neighboring Washington Township, and Ascent has many pending and approved unitization orders across the county.

The fastest way to know who is leasing near you:

• Search recent lease recordings at the Guernsey County Recorder’s office.
• Check the ODNR unitization library for any unit applications that include Westland Township tracts. Unleased owners in a proposed unit get notice and a hearing.
