Has anyone been re-leased again on their property?  We have a 5 yr. lease that is expiring 1 year from now and we are not ure what to expect.  I understand we will have to wait this last year to find out b/c this "ball game" changes so much with all kinds of ups and downs.  But we also have neighbors who's leases are expirring here in a couple months.

If anyone has been leased for a second go around with a gas company, please let me know how it went.  For example, did you receive the same terms and bonus money again?

Craig I was talking Ohio. Never failed a drug test in 43 years, carried a secrete clearance for 27 years. High tech background in avionics, sheet metal fabrication, CDL  with all endorsements except Hazmat (I said when Obama gets a background check I might shell out $150 for mine) CDL and Heavy Equipment School Certificate.

But Craig in Ohio the job listings for the O&G do not match up to all the hype!

The real jobs number never matches the rhetoric.  Those jobs numbers thrown about are for political purposes.  Billy, if you're in your 60s, don't expect to get hired.

Personally I'd hire a 60 year old with Billy's track record before I'd hire a 22 year old.  The guy who's 60 knows the value of hard work simply by virtue of life experience.

sure you would as long as you didn't offer health care benefits.  I'd hire Billy too if he just wanted to work enough hours so that his SS benefits wouldn't be impacted.

How about this deal I come with my own family health insurance. Since it is part of the compensation benefit for an employee  just add the health care cost you pay upon the uninsured employee to my wages!

By the way I am paid up in SS it might add a bit but not very much.  I shell out  over $6000 a year in health insurance and what do I get a physical every two years that makes my CDL Health Certificate valid.

Like I said when Obama goes. If you think any different you just don't get it.

Drill Baby Drill

I spoke to a gentleman from Hess yesterday. i told him my lease had expired I was wondering if they were interested in our land. His response was, the area we are in is mostly XTO leased property, and while he wouldn't say he wasn't interested he said they (Hess) were concentrating on areas that they have already leased in until some wells are drilled and there are some midstream producers and pipelines in the area. Doesn't sound promising for a second lease until the returns begin on some of the oil companies investments.
