New to GMS. Great site. My family is being asked to sign an amendment for pooling on a piece of land in Wetzel with a low production vertical well. I get the impression from this site that you can negotiate for bonus money. Is that correct? I realize they can put their unit together with another piece of land (they have made this comment), but in this case, the company owns the rest of the mineral rights on our piece of land, so I believe they would rather drill there. I also read where there is a document on this site with recommended provisions for leases (or amendments?). Can anyone give me a link to the document?

Thanks

I've always felt you should get something when you give something the company want. Whatever you do make dang sure you understand exactly what it is you will be signing. It is a legal document and once signed you are commited.

I really can't see the difference between them coming to me for a lease on an unleased piece of land and them asking me to allow them to pool and drill. Apples and Apples. If I say no, then they would have to go elsewhere or wait till the forced pooling comes from the legislature. I guess that will be taken up in January? Any info drifting anyone's way on which way forced pooling is headed.
