Antero's Superb Utica Results

There are some happy royalty owners out there.

Antero Resources drilled five Utica Shale wells since reporting third-quarter earnings. These wells delivered 24-hour peak processing rates of 32.2 MMcfe/d of natural gas. Even better was the fact that 65% of the production from these wells were liquids. Overall, the wells delivered an average of 1,897 barrels per day of natural gas liquids production in addition to 11.2 MMcf/d of dry natural gas.

These wells were even better than the 11 initial wells that Antero drilled into its core area of the Utica Shale. On average those wells delivered 30-day production rates of 445 barrels of NGLs per day in addition to 10.4 MMcf/d of natural gas, with liquids representing an average of 53% of the volumes. While the production from those wells were constrained, it is good to see Antero Resources' latest wells produce really liquids-rich results.

Monroe and Noble Counties.

Three wells in Noble County are top producers:  2 are Milligan and one Coal. but top producer remains the Yontz in Monroe County.

Antero to operate 18 rigs in 2014 and also spend 200 million for more acreage.  Plus some of the interlateral space is to be 500 feet.

Fortunate indeed are those who have an Antero lease--WV landowners as well as southeast Ohio landowners.

It must have been your total. I think you said 51,500. I was  thinking you meant 15,500 per acre   that must have been the total. I screwed up.

Does the below excerpt from the above link seem odd?  Perhaps they meant to say eastern side of the fairway and not the western side? Maybe I am missing something?

"Antero's updated estimates for Utica drilling economics also lends support to the thesis that the play's economic sweet spot may be located towards the western side of the fairway, in the wet gas and dry gas window (as opposed to the oil and condensate windows, as was often perceived during the early days of the play)."

Anybody have Production numbers for wells that have been drilled in the Piedmont Lake region of NW Belmont county area....not sure where this region lies in relation to the play's economic sweet spot.....would appreciate some insight...thanks

Those #s will be coming out this month from ODNR. From what I"ve read on this site and from Gulfport's presentations, they are definitely profitable. The CLAY wells and the STOUT wells are the closest to the lake.They list the barrels of oil for the Qtr. the amount of gas produced, and the amount of production days. BUT, they tell how many hours per day, or how much of a choke is on the valve. The condensate, propane,ethane,butane, is all included in the gas figure. Hard to figure exactly how much $$$ the products are being sold for.Closest I can figure from the #s that I can access is about $800,000 to 1 mil. per month,per well.  Peidmont Lake looks to be at the northern edge of the "sweet spot". Or the "pickle" mapped by Consol. Type in the "pickle" on this site's search box to see Consol's presentation of that map. I tend to believe the "pickle" will end up being wider,more to the west. The west just isn't proved yet due to lack of wells drilled ,by the right drillers.

My father has 87 acres on Harpers Ridge. 3 miles from Malaga. He was told that a well was going to go up in that area. I live in Iowa, but am trying to get some information for him. Do you know if there is any truth to this? He is leased with Antero.
