Permalink Reply by Mike Fulper on October 29, 2013 at 9:53am brine trucks are small trucks... and clearly marked "brine"
these are 40 foot long tankers like oil tankers but no Warning Placard....
Kinda like I77 out here on cubbison...:)
Permalink Reply by pg guy on October 29, 2013 at 11:29am Sound like brine trucks to me: No flammable placard, and apparently a pump mounted on the tractor frame, pretty typical for a tractor trailer set up to haul brine. Much more efficient than using the iconic straight truck, and able to haul 120-135 barrels at a time, rather than the smaller truck hauling only 70-90 barrels. There should be some lettering on the truck indicating that it is hauling "Residual Waste" or a UIC permit number.

didn't see any writing so far... but I would guess also some kind of waste...
Permalink Reply by Mike Fulper on October 30, 2013 at 7:55am Didn't see any tankers today... but not here all day...
Wed 30th...
Permalink Reply by Philip Brutz on October 30, 2013 at 8:06am You should setup a game camera that takes a photo everytime a tanker truck passes by.
I THINK UR NOT LOOKING ALL TANKERS HAVE A TYPE OF DESCRIPTION AS TO WHAT THEY ARE TRANSPORTING BE IT OIL ,FRESH WATER,BRINE IT SO EMERGENCY PEOPLE CAN ID THEIR RISK AND WHAT THEY ARE ABOUT TO INCOUNTER ........HOW WOULD ANYONE KNOW WHAT WAS IN A TANKER IF IT WRECKED .....LOOK A LITTLE CLOSER

AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
