The Eagle Ford Shale in Texas is the Play that the Utica is most often compared to because of the geology & three windows (oil, wet gas, and dry gas). They are approx 3-5 years ahead of the Utica, and now have over 1,000 producing wells. Chesapeake operates 29 drilling rigs in the play and EOG is close behind. All of the major players are active in this Play and you can learn alot about what is in our future by reading articles such as these. See link below....
