I just tried to reply once more to the discussion that I had started about Huffington Posts request for comments on signing leases, only to find that it has now been deleted.  What gives?  I don't think I said anything that was inappropriate.  Below are the remarks that I had intended to post to the last response for this thread.

Wow.  This was the first post I ever made and probably my last.  I had no idea this would become so controversial, but from recent posts, which seem to becoming more and more adversarial, I should have been more prepared.

My comments to the original post have been completely misinterpreted, and personally, I don't see why it would be a problem for happy lease holders to submit their story of why they made their decision and how they have benefited.  The request is for both those who have decided to sign AND not to sign, you do realize.  If you signed, why not share your story?  Post your submission here also; if Huffington Post does not post your submission, call them out on it.

And I am totally baffled about this discussion of whether to see Promised Land or not.  I am sure everyone here is looking forward to Fracknation in the hopes that the opposition will see it and come to their senses.  My point was, everyone should be going to see all of these movies, and reading all of the articles and getting to the actual facts.  How can you be an expert about something if you don't understand all sides of the discussion?  How can you have an intelligent, persuasive discussion with someone about the movie if you haven't even seen it?

The remarks here are inflammatory and unproductive and not anything that I wanted to be a part of.

What?  Really?  That's kind of an issue for me, BECAUSE I LIVE THERE!

Completely transparent?  What is is that you think you see?

Don't bother answering....I'm dropping this group.  I prefer to engage in constructive discussions with intelligent, thoughtful people.  With such pejorative, immature comments, obviously I am in the wrong place.

Jenny, here you will find thoughtful and insightful landowners with clear concerns about their land and future. Business owners, farmers, merchants, college professors, oil and gas industry folks, men, women of all ages and leves of experience.

The occasional Robin Hood, and also first class BS'ers.

All with keen vision.

Please tell all your pals in New York at the Huffington Office to stay out of PA and Ohio.

We are all intelligent enough to make our own decisions. Without any guidance.

By the way, you should have never drafted Tebow, More NY arrogance. He is better than that program.

Quite so and right on.  I resent the earlier call for her to stay only out of western PA.  We don't want her here in NEPA either.  However, we do appreciate her patronage.

There's hope for her, though, in PA.  The folks in SEPA are nearly as nuts as the NYC anti-drilling crazies.  She'd be welcome in SEPA, even if accompanied by Yoko.

new york is in real trouble. coumo has lost it.

My bad. For whatever reason the search engine did not bring up my post about Chesapeake clamping down, but I found it on a long search.

I do not believe anyone should support the viewing of movies such as "Promised Land" or Al Gores "Inconvenient Truth" as fact based.   These movies prey on the ignorance and laziness of society to push a particular agenda politically in order to profit financially.  These movies do not foster intelligent discussion,  unfortunately a majority of people who view these movies assume them to be fact based without educating themselves on the subject.

Profit financially is the main goal of these left wing parasites, they will say or do anything for money.

i read where al is now worth more than romney, with the sale of algorezeera.

Al took the oil money, maybe the Huffington Post will do a investigation .

Jenny, your original post was a solicitation for users to contact the Post. It was not offensive. It was a solicitation. Please review the user agreement everyone signs when joining.
