Drilling equipment moved in...then moved out?

In November I heard a drilling site was picked on Mt Air Rd in New Galilee, equipment was moved in...then for no  apparent reason it was all pulled out.  The landowner was told they were going to drill elsewhere.  Very dissapointing to the landowner.  Anyone have view points on this...would love to hear them.

I find that it is East Resources who has the permits there. That's all I can tell you. My guess is that they have

found a much more profitable use for the equipment somewhere else. However it seems odd that they would spend all the money it takes to move in a rig, then move it somewhere else. Are you sure they moved the drilling equipment onsite. I suspect it was only the misc. equipment used before the rig etc arrived. Would be interesting to know.

I heard the landowner got a call on a thursday that the site was going to start to be prepared to drill on the following tues.  bulldozers, semi's and other heavy equipment was brought in.  Monday morning they all packed up and left...seems alittle strange.
