Cheif drilled a hole in East At Clair Township off Route 56. Plugged it. They have e a permit to drill a well in West Sait Clair Township. From a shale  study I have seen The Marcellus Shale has around 150' thickness in parts of Bedford County but it may be vaulted. The people of Bedford County fought windmills and  would imagine they will fight gas drilling. Time will tell.
