What is fair and max price for a marcellus acerage in Greene county, Pennsylvania??

You have excellent geology so don't get snookered. I don't think you should take less than $5000/acre and 18% minimum (Utica and Marcellus). Keep rights above Tully limestone. I doubt they'll go for that so try for more money.
Chevron (CVX) and Consol (CNX) seem to be biggest players in your area (Greene). Is area area around you mostly unleased?

Permalink Reply by Tim Tarr on April 17, 2014 at 12:51pm    generally west of Washington, Franklin and Wayne is mostly similar. As you move east from that line (give or take a few miles on either side) geology changes quickly.
Move the Ohio river 29 miles east and that would be closer to what the line would look like.
