Arthur-- Why invest in a drilling company instead of a supplier to the industry? --Tom
Arthur,
There is a great deal of opportunity for private investors in the new technologies being developed to clean the frac flowback water. As a landowner, I have invested in this area as an insurance policy on my gas royalties. The benefit is twofold:
1) Peace of mind - we must strike a balance with extracting profit and protecting our pristine commonwealth. An assurance of clean water is a necessity before the economic benefit of the Marcellus play can be wholly realized.
2) Return on your investment - an estimated 7 billion gallons/year of contaminated flowback water will be produced in PA alone. The demand for an economically feasible, EPA approved technology is extremely high and will command a handsome price.
Of course there are risks, but the reward can be considerable.
Michael,
Your suggestions are right on and I really appreciate them. My situation is kind of unique and I got into this trade by accident but in the time I have been involved, I have acquired some valuable contacts who want to invest. Thanks again for your advice. I look forward to more conversations and don't have a problem sharing my information. We are all in this together. Arthur.
Is there a restriction as to what area or states your investors are looking at? Do they want to invest in an existing company or will they look at a start up?
No restrictions --anywhere.
Arthur,
Is there a contact number for you where we can talk?
