This comes from a reliable resourse ...Rigs in the northern part of Ohio will be pulling up roots and move to Harrison county ...Reason ...to much dry gas in the Northern counties ....they want to have 28 rigs drilling by the end of July and 67 rigs drilling by the end of the year in Harrison ,because of the rich resourses in wet gases .

67 rigs drilling in Harrison County? Your reliable source has let you down this time. There are only 34 rigs in all of Ohio as of last week.
Maybe I miss lead you ....these rigs will come from the northern Ohio and brought in from other parts of the country ....remember 3 years ago there were no rigs in Ohio . They were brought in from the Gas & Oil . I guess we will have to wait and see when July gets here and at the end of the year .
Well here we are at the end of July and the original poster claimed there would be 28 rigs drilling in Harrison County at this point. The actual rig count for Harrison County is four rigs. I don't know where the original poster gets his "reliable resourse" information, but obviously he is full of baloney.
dennis,
If you can't disclose your reliable source or who "they" are, one might think or accuse you of being a landman in N. Ohio trying to lower the bonus and royalty amounts being accepted by landowners there.
you may be right.... that all that Im saying , Im just a landowner.. discussion done ..
The latest data released from the Ohio DNR (as of July 27, 2013) shows 13 wells now drilling in Harrison County, highest of all counties, other maps show that a concentration of permitting and production has been ongoing. Go to: http://www.uticashaleblog.com/p/maps.html. Find the "Drilling" map, Click for the large version and then hit the filter tab at the top left of the map, shows drilling by county. Same can be done for other maps.

AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
