Has anyone any information on what prices are being paid for renewing leases that are ready to expire?

I've heard between $1,500 / acre and $3,000 / acre 15% in PA.

RENEWING A LEASE the company holding the lease should have to pay the original amount the lease over again if you got 3,000 an acre you should get 3,000 an acre on renewal  of course it is all stated in your lease what renewal will be  that is already set up in the lease you signed 5 years ago  I dont think any producer would leave that part open ended  ....on renewal there is no negoitating a new price .... it would almost be better if they didnt renew a lease and you would be able to release your mineral rights now that we understand there is more then i good formation under us ....in many areas we have a triple play with the upper devonian marcellus and utica being profitable to produce  and we could lease each formation and put limitations on minerals below the utica  so we could lease anything below it at a later date

It may or may not be stated in your current lease.  However many leases that I am aware of were stated as renewal at 115% of the original.  That may or may not be good.  If leases are up markedly you may lose, if leases are down you won.  This game of IF is a dandy!!!!   Oh, I'm referring to Eastern Ohio.
