Construction of a cryogenic plant to process natural gas from the Utica shale play will begin later this year near Leesville, bringing a couple of hundred temporary construction jobs and 25 to 30 permanent jobs to this Carroll County community.
The plant is scheduled to go into service in June 2014.
A 94.5-acre tract at 8349 Azalea Road, about a half-mile west of Leesville, was purchased recently from the Mabel A. Leeper Living Trust for $610,000 to build the plant, which will be part of the Utica East Ohio Buckeye complex in eastern Ohio.
