Starting this thread to post info related to Magnum Hunter and its various business components.  First post is Triad Hunter opening office in Marietta, Ohio.  Definately Magnum Hunter is spending in Monroe, Noble and Washington counties in Ohio as well as Tyler and other WV counties.

Yes, I too wonder why MH has not announced more spuds for 2014.....if the acreage is so good, what's the holdup?  Maybe he's afraid (or knows) that the acreage just ain't that good, and more drilling would expose the defect to potential buyers?   I mean, we're still waiting for some positive results from their acreage in the "southern core".....

Exercising his options at $6 a share seems like a good move.   If he sells the company, he wins....if not, he can still sell it off and win with price targets of $7 - $8.  Hey, it's only pocket change for him at $180,000 lol.

Hiker,

Here is a press release from MHR saying they will spend 400 million and spud 27 wells in 2014.   90 million to be spent on Eureka Hunter.  Is anyone seeing the Eureka Hunter 'Yard" in Lee Twp. Monroe Co near Sardis.  Seems like it grows with trucks, pipe, and equipment on a regular basis.  Plus pipeline appears to be reaching the under the Ohio River connection,     Anyone have an idea as to what is happening on the north side of RT7?  Lots of dirt moved and rumors says the new home and property has been purchased for one million and another rumor chain says two million.  Just guessing--is it a compressor station or some type of processing plant or just something to do with the pipeline?

Searcherone:  Good article, and I hope they do, but at 3 rigs and 25+ wells, that's a well every ~6 weeks or so per rig.  Aggressive, and seems to indicate they will not build many pads to get this done.... and therefore won't be "de-risking" their Washington/Noble leasehold very much.   Bring on the permits!   Hit the big lake of oil and make my stock go up lol....

According to the Monroe Co. Ohio Beacon dated Dec. 19:

Eureka Hunter has purchased 14.2 acres in Monroe Co. Switzerland Twp. Section 28

Ryan W. and Rosie May Lloyd to Eureka Hunter Pipeline LLC  This location is near the XTO well in Switzerland Twp.

Perhaps this is a compressor station?

Also have been told MH is flaring the Ormet well--two flares and since it closely borders Rt 7 some people are saying they can feel the heat as they drive by.  I personally haven't seen it.  Have any of you?

Here's a good summary of Magnum Hunter's history and planned activities for 2014 I found on the Motley Fool...

Magnum Hunter to start flowing WVDNR wells in Wetzel Co.   and Ormet wells in Monroe Co.  into Eureka Hunter pipeline in a few weeks.

The chemical leakage into the drinking water in Charleston, WV is stirring the discussion about Green Hunter opening their facility in the Wheeling area.

GreenHunter is doing some personnel changes.  I am just guessing that perhaps GreenHunter is not making quick enough progress and new momentum may be coming.

This time an "informal" presentation by Green Hunter about their proposed site in Warwood.

Similiar info is posted in the thread of the Stalder well.   But in keeping with the intent of this discussion of posting MHR which I have been doing for a year here is the info in a more concise form.   Interesting as to who the companies are that are the non operating partners in the well, one being Statoil.   And look at that peak rate

Here is CEO Evans latest presentation on Feb 19th.

http://www.investorcalendar.com/conferences/event.asp?ID=172245

He says Utica on Stalder is 97% methane;  Marcellus well on Stalder pad to be fracked next week.  1400 BTU and 40% liquids.      Eight new pads under construction.

The rumor mill has it that one of those will be in the corn field next to the Ohio river just south of Sardis.

Also says Citibank did evaluation of acreage and says value of 100,000 per acre.

Enjoy listening and feel free to comment.

100,000, is that total value per acre or landowners 12.5 or 20% value?
