Guernsey county leasing

I have eight acres in Cambridge township Guernsey county I would like to lease. Does anybody know of a company leasing in this area. Also is this a area for gas, oil or both.

Gulfport does! and from what ive seen, if i had land, id let gulfport drill on it anyday. Theyve had some really really nice wells!

No-one is currently leasing in Cambridge twp. to my knowledge. BP has showed some recent interest. There are SOOO many small parcels and divided up old farms, that it's really difficult to search titles, time consuming.shell has alot of leases,but mostly all over 10 acres.  Dont know what they intend to do about the smaller ones when it comes time to set up their drilling units. The nearest well drilled is a few miles east in Madison twp. that gulfport claims can do 1935 barrells of liguids per day, and 2.8 mmcu.ft. gas per day. Devon is fracking another in Center twp. right now that will give us another comparison. To answer your question, I"d say lots more oil & wet gases , than dry gas. Cambridge twp. is close to town, extra time in the recorders office,lots of people to deal with, lots of O&G co.s with current leases scattered everywhere to deal with. besides that, looks like  someone will eventually want to drill. Then they may be knocking on the doors with some pretty good offers. They say good things come to those who wait..
