Can someone please give me a link for applied wells? I have the one where actuall permits have been issued, just not current applications. Not sure if it exists. Thanks, Lance.

Try this:  http://www.ahs2.dep.state.pa.us/eFACTSWeb/default.aspx

Type the name of the gas company in as the client.

I must be stupid, I couldn't get either one of those links to find wells under current application..

Go to the eFACTS link I posted.  Click Client Search.  Enter the name of the gas company in the client name box, ie. "Halcon", check the little box to the right for partial matches.  Enter county.  Click Search.  When the client search results come up, click the company name and then it will show you all applied for permits and their status.  Let me know if you still have trouble.

got it, thanks!

Thanks for the good step by step JR.  Is it also possible to view the pages of the permit?  I'm mostly interested in seeing a unit map and well bore map, but not sure if that can be found on the DEP site.

To my knowledge, it is not possible to view the details of the permit online, but I'm no expert on the DEP or eFACTS sites by any stretch of the imagination.  I would think you'd have to get the kind of information you're looking for from the well operator though.

The actual unit map isn't available until it is filed with the County under misc here:  http://www.searchiqs.com/pabea/  just follow instructions, no password needed. Select Miscellaneous under document type and enter the desired from/to dates.

You can get well completion reports some months after a particular well is completed here:

http://www.dcnr.state.pa.us/topogeo/about/katiesfb.aspx

You email to her the site # or permit number, well name, county, operator, etc....whatever info you have to distinguish the individual well. She is fast in replying usually, sending files via email. Thank her for such a fast response, I swear I've never ever had such a quick response from a gov't agency.
Ask for a well completion report and any other pertinent info available. There will be a unit outlined on the plat, however the unit proposed is not usually exactly what gets filed later at our county courthouse. Hope this helps.

Very helpful.  Thank you both!
