They say the pressure changes during flare and will increase production as water and such is burnt off. How much change would be expected? 10% or 50% or what? Any ideas? There is some anxiety with this new well nearby (it's the first in the area), if it does good they will keep after it, and if it does bad, they might pack up and move on to greener pastures. What kind of numbers make a well successful or a "keeper"?

Most likely there is not a pipeline to send the gas to, so they are flaring the gas to test the IP (initial production) of the well. There is not any one magic number that will deem a well successful.
