Janice, Frank & VG,
Thanks all very good information. I have contacted Greevy. Had a good chat over the phone. Left me with several options. Very good suggestion to take the lease to the forum. I'll have to write down what exact questions I need answered. Thanks again
I would like to know if anybody here knows where to find the maps or any info showing where the gas lines are located from the wells?
Chesapeake drilled a well, set it completely up, then told us they did not put a gas line in from the well for it to produce. They drilled 12 wells, 3 are still producing but at much lower volumes now. These wells were drilled years ago in the 80's. A year ago they drilled down another 8000 feet to expand the production on one of the wells.
Does anybody know who to talk to concerning future plans of these wells on my land?
I am tired of dealing with the district rep who tells me any thing he thinks I want to hear. He told me they will come to Mon County in a year and that all of their rigs are in PA now.
I want to get some straight answers from somebody higher up in authority! The rep has such a huge WV territory and is totally overwhelmed with his duties.
Thank you. I appreciate your comments.
I don't know what county you are in....but see if this map helps...or maybe you can contact them and see where a map for your county can be obtained. Thank the member that provided this map link...it was in a Sullivan county discussion.

Hi Oleg and welcome,
have you already leased? you say 'no addendums' and most have addendums to protect their interests as lessor.
Good Day, I would like to inform my story with Chesapeake company.
In December land man S. C. call in my house located Bradford county offered 4000 per acre and 18%
I agreed upon meting, but decided to shop around called G.W. another land man to see if he can give
better offer. G.W. set the meting and offer 2000 per acre and 15%.I stated I disagree with the offer and
prefer sign offer with other Land man. G.W.stated :No one can sign with You I will hold your parcels.
We call back S.C. He stated I cant talk to you, because Your G.W. clients.
I called Chesapeake head quarters and they transferred me to other land man K.W.C. Who stated:
You have to call back Senor land man G.W. I refute to do so for following reasons:
This is my land and I do have rights to shop around
What legal right G.W. have to hold my parcels without verbal or written agreement
Even contract is void on January 14 ,if we didn’t sign.
K.W.C. Contacted V. P. called me back with response :
We want to have good relation with landowners S.C. Will call you soon and case will be transfer to him.
S.C. Called us back and made meting date.I took time off from work.
Monday S.C. Call us back to confirm appointment for Wednesday and next Tuesday he called back to canceled appointment and said may it take approximately one week ,because no one spoke to G.W.
I called back Chesapeake quarters left massage on K.W.C. What S.C. said.
Next day no answer ,but representative from Chesapeake company stop by to inform me they will test
water because drilling operation is half a mile from my land, I said, I haven’t sign lease nor with you or any other company. They said it doesn’t matter some one will contact You soon.
I called back Chesapeake and spoke to R. R. stated ,that G.W. doesn’t work for Chesapeake company ,
than transferred me back to K.W.C.
I haven’t mention my neighbors next to my property sigh for higher price in December, 5 times smaller
passel and in January 21 other neighbors sign 5000 per acre and 20% same size parcel.
I feel my rights are violated.
Sincerely Bradford County Landowner.

AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
