If it would work for left behind what about a virgin find? Hmm

This is a technology that's been examined in heavy oil plays with limited success.  Maybe one day someone cracks the code.

Give the well a good old fashioned Obama Care enema that should get the earths bowls producing.

Marcus:

Someday I envision fracking with Ethane in low resorvoir pressure conditions with highly viscious crude (Ashtabula/Trumbull).  The anti-frack folks will really freek if it happens, but the ethane would be recovered along with the crude.

Jason,

Anti-frac people are afraid of their own shadows and the detriment that such shadows have on Mother Earth.  Give them any suggestion and they'll freak.

Marcus,

I always appreciate your tac down to the proper "frac" spelling.  I forsee a day of ethane gluttony that may serve a purpose beyond our current vision.

Billy,
In a related thread, from the Eagle Ford forum:
http://eaglefordforum.com/forum/topics/hunt-ziaontz-1

Wilson county Texas is also in a shallower Eagle Ford area, in the oil window there.

If there is a will there is a way.

Bugs.
Put them to work then.
Give them a try.
Any repercussions / negative ' side effects ' noted ?
Ethane. Good idea.
Probably been done for quite awhile already .
Marketing probably keeping this one in check.
My guesses.
Perhaps the 'Ethane Cracker' plants are a big part of the key to to the oil window ?

Might it be that more ( ethane ) availability ( from 'wet gas' processing ) in the near geography ( once the 'Cracker' plants come on line ) initiate greater oil window development ?

Seems to follow / make a certain amount of sense to me.

I think :

If there's a well there's a way.

I inquire :

Is the solution dilution ?

Wouldn't the ethane remain with the thick oil to keep it fluid enough to transport and handle? At what point and how far from here would it be separated back out for cracking.....?
