A wise man once said, "motivation affects perception".

For those of us that could possibly make money on our oil & gas, we think drilling & fracking is great.  On the flip side, those who will never make a nickle on oil & gas think it should be stopped.

OK...but here is where the "fractivists" speak with forked tongue.  Do any of them use gas to heat their homes? To cook their food?  To heat their water?  Do any of them use electricity for the same?  All plastic produced in the world is made from either ethylene or sugar. (mostly ethylene).  Do any of them use any products containing plastic?  How about their "smart phones" & computers?  A lot of plastic there. Do any of them take any meds?  Many many meds are produced with liquid hydrocarbons.

The list goes on and on.

Without protroleum, gas, & liquid hydrocarbons we would be living in a different world indeed. Not just us here in the good ol USA, but the entire world.

Do they even realize what this world is made of?   They speak with forked tongue.  Please do not stop giving them their meds.  I think that would just make things worse because they are off ther rockers to begin with.

David and other,

The Park Foundation is at the root of most of these organizations. This is an Ithaca NY based , anti-fossil fuel foundation that funds many small grass roots efforts. Energy in Depth has chronicles this relationship several times, for example: http://energyindepth.org/marcellus/park-food-water-watch-leading-th...

One of their writers, Tom Shepstone, provided a very delailed flow chart about 1.5 years ago. It showed the Park Foundation as the center and many spokes from that center. He followed the flow of money and the finger points to Park.
