The landowners that had to wait are in a better position then those who signed early.

I know many landowners are discouraged at the slow process of being leased. The same goes with pipelines, but if you think about it, you are positioned better then the rest of us. You've had all this extra time to gain knowledge about the whole process which will benefit you. Pipeline prices have increased. In a way, I wish it was all just happening to me now. I know so much more about this whole process then a few years back.

This is true, unless you're a landowner in Trumbull, Mahoning, Ashtabula, Stark, Wayne, Medina, Ashland, Richland, Holmes, Tuscarawas, Portage, Meigs, Athens, or Coshocton counties.

IMHO all very true.

It's taking too long and as I've written many times in the past I believe there are unnecessarily complicated and deceptive business reasons behind it all.

Also as always all IMHO.

I believe that when.a lot of leases set to expire and no one comes forward to extend or someone does extend them.....that will tell everyone alot

Watch tuscarawas and Coshocton Dexter. Parker well(CHK) just got another permit yesterday and heard a whisper that Adams Twsp Coshocton county may get a permit soon.

I am 3 years into my SECOND 5 year lease and have yet to see a drilling rig within "unit" distance. Now that's a patience tester! LOL

Seems to me there would be many more factors involved in answering that one from what I can tell.

Marcellus or Utica or Clinton or other or all strata ?

Decent then or decent now ?

Whatever it was Trapper, in the context of the post appears satisfied with things the way they worked out for him (aside from no well / royalty yet) and the way I see it, that's who needs to be satisfied.

I don't recall asking or telling anyone they couldn't or shouldn't speak for themselves - as a matter of fact I didn't.

I just suggested what may impact what anyone might consider decent and rendered my opinions / assumptions on that score.

Why would you interpret I implied anything different ?

It's a public and open forum - that was only my 2 cents worth.
