It appears the Slottje/Park Foundation natural gas bans may have been enacted improperly without notice to adjoining communities in many instances and, guess what, there is a way for landowners to fight the bans and preserve their rights where the Slottjes have neglected to supersede the Town Law provisions ensuring those rights:

It will be interesting, indeed, to see what future developments occur in this arena. I continue to maintain that one or more knowledgeable attorneys is going to go on the offense and succeed in reversing most, if not all, of these ridiculous moratoria and bans that very adversely affect the property rights of so many interested landowners.
It would be truly rewarding to see the various political subdivisions at risk here to have to pay for their folly. It would be even more rewarding to see the advising culprits cast adrift, as they will no longer have any momentum and will have to face the embarassment of being found and labeled as frauds with an agenda that isn't in any best interest of the majority of any community where they have stumped for their ill-conceived actions.
