TV ads are saying Pa governor hopeful Tom Wolf wants to enact an Extraction Tax against drillers in Pa.
What affect do you think this will have on O&G companies wanting to drill and what affect will this have on our royalties, especially those with a net lease?
Is this tax already in effect in Ohio or WVa or Texas for that matter? Is this considered an ad valorum tax?

They can't. Furthermore, this idiot can promise to play Robin Hood all he wants to save the poor maligned children, but he can't do anything without getting it through the PA legislature. Not that this couldn't happen, as when money's involved, of course everyone wants to hog the whole pie both sides alike, but it'll take more than just some silly catch phrases targeted at the welfare queens in the cities.
I hope he does play robin hood. steal from the government and give it back to us. hahaha
