What is the difference between a Non Operating partner and a company having an overriding royalty interest?

Would imformation from the well drilling and completion be shared to the non operatin partner or a company with a overriding royalty interest

they would share with the partner, because the partner shares in the cost of the well.

an overriding royalty does not bear costs, and so therefor would not necessarily be entitled to any information except by separate agreement.
