Anyone hear from Buckeye Mineral?  I, as well as many others signed until the end of June. I realized it was a long shot for them to come up with a lease, but I expected  an effort by them to extend the contract past June. Any one hear anything?

James,

I should have discussed the fact that a person can go to the Recorder's Public Records pages 'on line' and learn a few things about leaseholds.

Trouble with that is that no expiration dates for leases are shown.

Also we've noticed and have been advised that Lessees many times don't record releases / assignments etc. and seem to drag their feet on that.

Also we understand that Lessees have a certain amount of time to do that.

However, we've heard that many times it falls between the cracks and just never gets done.

For what it may be worth to you.

I've heard similar, however if we were able to get a hold of these people who's land may be HBP it would give us an opportunity to contact them for the "real time" story on their land. A lot of work I realize, but may pay off in the end! I am a believer in advocating for myself and not leaving this to someone else. Just my thoughts.

Good luck K.

We're in Richmond Township so can't really assist your efforts in Trumbull.

We (as you) believe in pro-active personal involvement and especially so when stagnation seems to set in.

We believe that if a person fails to look after his / her own interests; others may perceive it as an invitation to take advantage.

Many times when that happens the only thing that precipitates is delay.

Should add that it doesn't help expedite matters when the Industry itself signals that there is time to delay things.  This is another invitation to posture for advantage / build a 'buyer's market'.

Only once again in our humble opinion as landowners.

Thanks Joseph. All any of us can do as land owners is sit tight and in the meantime do anything we can to protect ourselves. If I find out anything going on near Richmond Township I will certainly let you know. Never know what tomorrow brings right? Maybe we'll catch a break! Have a great day.

I think you got it all right K.

We should all keep each other as informed as possible, thinking that's what this site is all about.

And likewise, you have a great day as well.

J-O
