Just got the notice that they have spudded the Roberts well on Orchard Lawn, just off of Park road. Seems they are going to keep at least one rig busy drilling in Beaver County continuously for some time.

3 wells producing for around 2 years.
4 more gathering lines to be installed in 2014, that should hook up at least 7 more wells... from everything I understand from neighbors, etc.
Permalink Reply by Todd on December 11, 2013 at 4:28pm Yeah, I knew about those 3 wells producing but I heard on here a little while back that CHK had closed the valves due to low gas prices. I was wondering if that's true and whether they've been turned back on if they were ever off?
Thanks
Permalink Reply by craig on December 12, 2013 at 8:17am I've been there multiple times and have heard the equipment running, so I'm guessing they are back to selling…. at least in some kind of quantity. There were times this year that I wouldn't hear the equipment running-when they weren't selling.
Hope that helps.
Permalink Reply by Todd on December 12, 2013 at 1:43pm Sounds good Craig - hopefully, Chesapeake was able to dictate a better selling price prior to turning the wells back on.
Records from all over the state show that many Marcellus wells are being produced no more than 6 months of the year - too much gas, not enough storage, low prices. I imagine it would be the same for U-PP dry gas production.

Thus they seemed to be throttling way back one well of the 3 wells every month.... each taking their turn. Don't know if this is still true though.

AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
