I don't know what to think..... all the scenarios I come up won't hold water for all the wells listed. So maybe you are right in some way.

What doesn't make sense to me though is that the Petrik well is right smack dab beside the Thompson well where they recently bought 170+ acres and are planning on building the processing plant..... unless that fell through, but then they wouldn't have spent over a Million dollars buying that land. Strange indeed.

Also wondering what is going on. I knew they were having problems with pipeline ROW's. Maybe that's why?

I checked my deed a couple days ago and found that Chesapake amended the lein on the mineral right.  Originally the deed was filed just Chesapake 1 year ago. Now it has been amended to include Chesapake Uttica and another company. We are part of the Cody trust unit.  If Chesapake were selling off their interest, I don't think they would  havfe amended their Lein(s) in April. Any thoughts on this anyone?

Didn't Hilcorp buy some of CHK leases in Columbiana County? Then we have Shell having pretty much the whole of south Lawrence County leased up......? Who knows what CHK is up to. Is there really alot of resistence to pipeline row? If so that cannot be good either. That won't be good for ANY producer looking to enter the area. Does Shell currently have any leaseholds anywhere in Beaver County?

This at least tells us that they are not going to be plugging any of these wells and that these wells are able to produce. It also tells us that they have a date in mind to activate the well once again.

What does it all mean? Speculation is all we have right now...... and I don't think this is bad news in the long term.

We knew we were not in a very good producing area to start with. The only thing going for us was proximity to the cracker and Ohio infrastructure. It just means it will be awhile before we see anything progress. Perhaps when prices go up?

frank, how do you know that?  I cant get any info on the wells in our area!   if anyone has reports from this part of the county..would love to hear from them.  if I am correct we only have two wells producing and both are choked back?

From conversations with drillers and just because we are areas that are dry gas for the most part. Looking at the maps over the years, none of them show us as a sweet spot.
