Construction of the Gordon pad on Old Blackhawk road near the intersection of McCloy road has begun with another nearby pad permitted and probably next.  Rumor says they will be drilling in April. Seems like there are numerous permits approved that CHK will be drilling in the coming months. Nice to see some action in the neighborhood, even if the infrastructure isn't built out yet.

Yes, you had mentioned, making good progress on that site.  I see they are doing some digging up the road just a bit farther and lots of trees down way back over the hill.  I was wondering if this is another pad or I possibly a pipeline.  Any idea?

Regardless of potential lease issues etc, it is good to see some movement up this way again, I agree.

The entrance near the end of McCloy road is to the Gordon pad, then it continues on to the CTG (something like that) pad. The entrance at the top of the hill is to the McDanel pad.

3 wells within 1/2 mile of me : )

Craig - I would imagine you're in a unit? Do you know yet if your acreage is spread across different pads?

Jason, I'm told that all my property(10+ acres) will be in one unit but have seen no paperwork. My lease runs out in a few months. If what I'm told is true then I have a neighbor that they need to sign up(no lease on 100 acres) as well as another couple neighbors(over 80 acres each) one runs out this month with another soon. None of them are going to sign for less than $3,000 i believe.....they have offered $200-$300 per acre, which is BS. It is coming down to the wire and will be interesting to see how this pans out.

I still wonder if CHK is doing the minimum drilling needed and leasing/top leasing at the cheap prices for those that take it, then selling the whole bundle off to Shell or someone after the cracker plant is announced.... dunno

Thats good news, 2 pads going in after some down time.  I've got half my acres in one unit and just waiting to see if they do put pad on my place and lock up the rest.  If that is the case then its sit back an wait till they can move it but at least some acres will be in for many landowners.

So where I saw some dozers working on the other side of the woods from the Gordon pad, is that to be another pad also or pipeline?  I couldn't really tell what they were doing.  Its just one field down the road.

The Gordon pad and the CTG(i think are the initials) pad are accessed from the same road they are building real close to the end of McCloy Rd. The Gordon pad is South of the entrance road on the small hill behind the woods. Continue on the road they are building and you will end up at the CTG pad, which will be between old Blackhawk rd and Alan road. I'm thinking it is on Brobecks property back there.

No digging yet for any pipelines in the area.

hello, i believe i am in this unit, but have never had this confirmed.  how can i verify  which unit our land is a part of?

thanks.

Marlin, We won't know for sure who is in the unit until it is actually declared/filed at the BC courthouse. My neighbor saw the tentative unit recently when they were trying to get them to sign a top lease.

I don't know where your land is located but if I did know I would be able to give you  an idea if you are located where you might be in a unit.  I'll send a friend request to you so that  we can private message each other.... if you would like to let me know where your land is.
