The last few days I've noticed activity at both gates, but can only see the McDanel well. There have been a strange looking trailer moved in, a bobcat, and misc other things i can't get close enough to see. I suspect the same thing is happening at the CTG well. I have to wonder if they are getting ready to clear the well of frack water and back flow then maybe finally flare? They plan on doing the gathering lines later this year I think. Dunno, but I might drive in one of them and ask questions some day.

New info:
I emailed CHK about the McDanel Unit which i'm supposedly a part of. I asked when we could expect division orders and royalty checks as it has been in production since at least sometime in November.
Their response:
"It appears that division orders should be processed on our end on 2/9/2015. They should be sent out to owners shortly after that date. You should begin receiving royalty checks within the next month after we get the signed division order sent back to us."
I suspect this applies to the CTG well too.
WOW, that's great news Craig. Would you mind sharing their email address? I'll email and get confirmation on the CTG well, but one would think it would be included. Thanks.
It is on the chk website under "Owners" incase the link doesn't work... here's the link:

Good Luck!!!
Thanks for the link. How long before they responded to you?
The McDanel Unit first checks arrived mid February, at least for me and some of the neighbors.
They are taking ~28% of the gross royalty for gathering charges.
Price paid:
Oct $2.05
Nov $2.19
Dec $$2.80
I know, don't look a gift horse in the mouth, but it really irks me that they are still getting away
with such high gathering costs.

AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
