 Chesapeake is leasing like crazy in Chippewa, but I'm not sure how far North they interested in.  First offers are probably no more than $2000/acre right now, but that could have changed since their announcement of their new wells. Don't worry, you will be contacted if you haven't. Be careful and be smart and understand exactly what you are signing. I don't know if there currently is a landowners group that you join, maybe someone else can chime in.

Craig, i own property that borders Chippewa and West Mayfield, i heard of there being a well pad approval in patterson twp, do you have any incite about the affected areas, and would you think they would be coming my way... My wife has been in contact with Chesapeake, but after the initial contact have not heard anything, any information would br great.

roughly around 4K and 17.5%.  However, the lease and addendum are the most important.  Don't lose site of the ture value of your land for a few thousand dollars up front.  I have engaged so many people who only look at the $$ and not the long run.

Both Shell and Chesapeake hold leases in Big Beaver and Range has a few that they acquired from Great Lakes. Shell is actually marking out a well pad by Mines and Meadows but nothing has been permitted yet. If you are looking to get a gas lease give me a call at 724-359-5035 and I can help you out. Our company is currently working with Big Beaver Boro on their O&G lease and some other landowners in the area.

I heard Shell is paying $3k/AC.  The guy from Chesapeake only offered me $1,600!

Mike i know for a fact that Shell is paying 3000 an acre, i know of 2 people in Lawrence county that are leased for 3000, where are you located that they offered you 1600... at least you got an offer im still waiting haha

Steve, I just signed a small parcel in south beaver for $3000 + 17.5% with a good lease.  I'm trying to figure out where your property is....did you buy the 30+acres bordering Skyline Drive and Schutte drive? If so, we have talked in person, if not where is the property exactly? Sending you a friend request for future 'talk'. I have property in the same area already leased.

Yes, there is an approved permit for a pad in Patterson Twp, although no drill permit has been applied for yet. Depending where your land is, I don't really think Patterson will affect you though.

Steve, I got a message from you on Monday some of which was in regards to the 16 acre vs the 25 acre thing....if that helps identify the message.

I am negotiating a lease with chesapeake now,  in big beaver - west foxwood rd outside new galilee.     Does anyone have info from this area?
