Well pad on rt 30 on Lisbon hill.

Hi,

I know someone a few weeks ago mentioned hilcorp was putting in a pad off RT 30 west on the hill coming out of Lisbon.
The drive is almost in and I will be finding a new way home soon :0). This is in a horrible spot.
The driller has asked counsel to access water from the creek near by. They said, when asked what the county would get from them running a pipe under the road. 3 dollars a foot was what they Said. Then went on to say as if they were doing the county a favor, they could up that a little.
The water was determined to be free for anyone to use.
I haven't gone on Black road to see if the other pad mentioned is started.
It is neat though to see how another driller, besides CHK, puts in a pad. So far I think CHK does it better. Time will tell.

My son wonders if those semi's that can barely make it up that hill to begin with will have to roll back down to get going again if they have to stop for loads going in.
Frack time could be awful if they don't pipe in the water.

The Pit Stop (formerly known as Farmer Bill's) has been getting a lot of traffic from many Water Trucks. They stop for a diesel refill, sign a running tab and then drive off to the next well ...

There are no wells permits on ODNR.

There was not even a entry on the ODNR Engineer's report.

This is Hilcorp's "top-secret" well site! :-)

That is an access road for work on Teegarden Pipelin in that area. I have not seen anything that look like a pad going in around there other then Chesapeake Altenhof just east of where you are talking about.

If that's the case then I think Hilcorp should help rebuild Willow Grove Park, add a walking bridge and a nice set of steps up to the bike path.  They will ruin it anyway

piping is usually the lesser burden of inconvenience (noise, dust, traffic) compared to trucking.  I'd imagine a temporary inconvenience at the the part, but who knows.  The inconvenience at the park hopefully will be less than the potential inconvenience on the road, and the park should benefit in some way.  They did say in the article Hilcorp was looking into improving the deal above their usual proposal.  Piping the water would save a lot of trucking cash.  Let's see where it goes.

They can lay a temporary water pipeline on the surface and pump it to a holding pond at the well pad. They will pick up the pipe when they are done and take it to the next job. Devon Energy did just that on their Richman Farms Medina county well last year and even crossed a road with it. They went almost a mile with that one and the temporary water pipeline was only there about a week.

Hilcorp piped water from a private lake several miles to their Salem township Grubbs well.  Seemed to go well (no pun intended.),

Have you seen something specific that Chesapeake or Hilcorp or any of these compamies have "ruined"? We have not and if we did we would call them immediately. Chesapeake is the company near us and our road was bad last fall ...emailed Canton office and received a call back a half hour later explaining our road was on the list for additional gravel the following week and then chip and seal before winter. Just chipped and sealed again two weeks ago for this winter. Just curious why you say they will ruin it as that has not been the case anywhere here that I have seen. And I have seen every well pad in Columbiana County as well as many in Carroll and the few that are in Mahoning.

Where is the other pad on Black road?

Wooley pad was going to be off of Black Rd.  Now it has been changed to Stuebenville Pike Rd.   As you can see in the picture. The first location was, The Black line as the entry road off of Black Rd. to the Yellow pad. The new location is the Blue line as the entry road to the White pad location.
