Payment cancelled by Shell

Has anyone else had this happen? The title to my property had no deficits (according to the Cambridge Office). I called Amegy bank today to see when the check would be sent and I was told that it was “cancelled per land department directive”.

I called Shell in Cambridge and they have no idea what is going on. Any thoughts?

Today we received a call from Holland Services in FT Worth. Grant Irvin wanted to set up a meeting with my sister to sign an addendum to correct two typos in the contract and then it would be 45 days to pymt. Since I live in Memphis she had him call me. I asked what the typos were, one was the misspelling of the word solely spelled "soley" as in Acting solely. The second was my sisters address zip code was incorrect. He said no change in contract effective date. After venting my frustrations told him to Fedx to me and I would have my daughter,who is an attorney, review.

I was then told it would be nxt week before they would be sent, which now adds an additional two weeks, which now makes it two months. did anyone else get this type of call?

my nephew got the same call. a couple times. he did receive payment,but it was at least 45 days after the wording was fixed. It does tell you that they are processing your lease for payment,though. Sort of good news!

I'm being told if you were part of the original group and on "the list," you WILL get paid assuming clear title.  Like Bo said, they may need to correct your description, etc. and then a short period to process and make payment.

But the real question is WHEN will we get paid?  My parents were told wait another week last week and no news.  However they did talk to Holland and they was going to refund the $30 charge for a canceled draft that the bank will not refund.  Been quiet here on the site lately so I'm presuming people are getting paid? Any replies?

Still nothing here and Bruce at Holland seems to avoid phone calls and has never returned a call back. I think this is a joke and I think the newspaper should print a big article maybe then we would get some answers instead of I dont know

 I heard it from a source that Shell is pulling out of Guernsey County. Possibility here is why lease it you think you might be able to go after Chesapeake? Takes money to do that!

I called attorney Geoffrey Bird Mosser on May 17 am and still haven't   a return call  from his office ,I  guess the 1 1/2 percent  isn't needed that he'll get from Shell . What's next ?????

maybe someone should go pay him a visit and find out why he screwed us landowners. if i wasnt 200 miles away, i definitely would be right on it.
