Rumors & Tidbits for Guernsey County

Some true,some hearsay...Aubrey is looking for a site to build his regional office with a Cambridge address.  Aep Utica is looking to drill a well behind the General store in Old Washington,early feb.   .AEP is drilling now in Harrison co. Rice will be moving their big rig from Belmont co. to daddy Shugerts well in Old Washington,soon. Bluegrass Pipeline coming thru the county this year. Compressor  station for Antero's well below Senecaville is ready to fire up any day.  Gulfport is sending rigs to Guernsey soon. EQT is wanting to drill 21 new wells in Guernsey this year. Carrizo has 2 pads built,ready to roll. Cheasapeake,all of a  sudden,likes Guernsey,better than Carroll. The company wanting to build an apartment complex at the I-77/Rt.22 site has agreed to help finance a sewer plant needed at that site& Coventry Estates. Motel to be built across from Pilot on the hill almost ready to roll. Some landowners near Quaker City are getting offers of $13,400. per acre to sell their Mineral rights.  Any other tidbits are welcome. You hear things from credible sources that may not even be true,but you be the judge.

Don't know, but maybe they are returning to one of their previously drilled pads like the Little Indian,or Ringer to drill another lateral? if so, maybe those wells are lots better than they reported?

Bo, I don't think the coordinate of the permits I posted match up to the existing well so you may be correct. I bet the technology is better now!

The one well is only off by the last number on the X and Y coordinates. The other well looks to be a re permit from back in 2012. I think they only drilled 1 RHDK well there originally. Maybe Enervest has found the code or recipe that is going to work in the oil window. Time will tell I suppose.

Okay' not much chatter lately on Guernsey county happenings. Everyone on vacation? Most of us Guer. co. members hear or see lots of things that don't get on here cause they may not be verified,but who cares? we can cipher thru the hearsay and decide on what's true or false. It's kinda fun checking things out.to see if they r true or not.

Yeah, things are still hot and heavy around our area. Like Evan, I've been busy. But I have been checking the ODNR occasionally and keeping tabs on here every now and again. I'm just patiently waiting for Rex to finish up the J Hall wells to see how much of my property they are going to catch, if any.

The original platmaps are only showing about 12 acres of my place being in the pool, but the as drilled plats could change some.  The Rex landman told me last month when I e-mailed him they stay fairly inline with what is sent to the ODNR initially.  So if that is the case I'll still have about 14 acres that could be drilled by someone else in a year or two hopefully.

I really do think that it will all get used in another year or two maybe 3.  My neighbor behind me signed with Antero 2 years ago and he has about 110 acres.  That combined with all the other properties to my north and south that is not drilled yet, that is a very large chunk of land to let the leases expire without drilling them.

Yeah there are quite a few Antero leases behind and to the south of you. I'm sure they will show up here eventually if you can get them out of noble county

I believe that they will drill every square inch in our township.  The minerals are far to valuable.
