BHP billiton Australian Coal company to buy CHK Shale contracts in U.S.

On the news ticker tape of CNBC News is the headline posted above on 02/22/11.  And as you know CHk (Chessepeake Oil and Gas) is backing all DPS contracts.  So this could add some delays but possibly may bring more insight from the largest coal minning company in the world.

It is a purchase of their assets in the Fayetteville shale.  It should not affect the Marcellus or Utica.  However it will give them more money to purchase leases!

To   SA Frank, I guess the orginal article appeared in the Wall Street Journal but CNBC ran another headline that said BHP to buy CHK shale assets.  I'll try to find the orginal article. Thanks for info. JY
