Royalties and Unusual Lease Provisions

Hi -we've haven't signed yet as we really didn't want to but we can see the writing on the wall. Because of this we have been doing alot of research and came across something I feel is important. You can find it if you go to Google and type in "Unusual Ohio Oil and Gas Lease Provisions".  Points 6 , 22, and 29 shows how the lease language may affect your royalty. It seems as more the business comes across Pa, Wv and eastern OH there is more to know. It will be interesting to see just how our areas will be affected by all this Oil and Gas stuff.

CHK has a new four page addendum that addresses essentially everything that Ohio attorneys have been anxious about. If you can get your hands on it I'd say take it to a lawyer and get their opinion.

Chesapeake Energy. CHK is their stock symbol.
