I've heard from multiple people that there are problems at the Milton site? Anyone hear anything?

It is not a problem so much as it is "heavy crude" which flows slowly and is being diluted.  This is from a source in the industry and some research.

Is that a good or a bad thing?
They fracked the Geatches unit and nothing came out. They're going to try CO2 injection to see if they can get the gas to move out and actually produce the well.

Gas or oil?

I have seen this well with a burning gas flare.

So have I. The work is not entirely complete on this well.

Thanks Robert, Grayson should not write as if the well is dead.

I did get a call from an independent older Clinton well company and it was reported last week that the oil is very heavy , which is not a bad thing.  Heavy crude is usually found in shallow formations because of bacteria infiltration.  As deep as the Utica is, it must be heavy for another reason, maybe heavy with valuable other gases.

Ron, you are correct, the well is fracked and is producing significant oil, but it is impeding the natural gas flow. As soon as they get the crude side figured out it will begin producing a great deal more. The oil has set the rest of the production side back by over 30 days. The crude is allegedly very pure.

It was burning all last week after the fracking was completed, so "Marcus" saying "nothing" came out is not only incorrect, but misleading.

Thanks for the information, Chesapeake has been working on this well for quite a while.  I appreciate the update.  Please keep information on it available to us.

I meant nothing was coming out in the sense that it's unprofitable at the moment. The CO2 injection should cure the issue and get the condensate to the surface. For a well that's taken over a year to complete I'd say that this one is going to be a write off for CHK. But there's plenty more land to drill on and they'll figure it out at some point. The two units in Carroll county are strong producers and they're also in the wet window so I assume that they'll get the formula right.
