I've heard from multiple people that there are problems at the Milton site? Anyone hear anything?

It is not a problem so much as it is "heavy crude" which flows slowly and is being diluted. This is from a source in the industry and some research.
Gas or oil?
I have seen this well with a burning gas flare.
So have I. The work is not entirely complete on this well.
Thanks Robert, Grayson should not write as if the well is dead.
I did get a call from an independent older Clinton well company and it was reported last week that the oil is very heavy , which is not a bad thing. Heavy crude is usually found in shallow formations because of bacteria infiltration. As deep as the Utica is, it must be heavy for another reason, maybe heavy with valuable other gases.
Ron, you are correct, the well is fracked and is producing significant oil, but it is impeding the natural gas flow. As soon as they get the crude side figured out it will begin producing a great deal more. The oil has set the rest of the production side back by over 30 days. The crude is allegedly very pure.
It was burning all last week after the fracking was completed, so "Marcus" saying "nothing" came out is not only incorrect, but misleading.
Thanks for the information, Chesapeake has been working on this well for quite a while. I appreciate the update. Please keep information on it available to us.

But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
