If you are looking for a group with an excellent track record, consider SEOLA (Southeastern Ohio Landowners Association).  It was established as a non-profit, landowner-focused organization last summer.  It has volunteer Board members who are SEOLA landowners, holds free educational sessions, provides services such as screening prospective landowners' oil and gas mineral ownership issues and helping to resolve uncontested title problems without charge, holds free financial planning sessions for members and charges no membership fees to the landowner.

SEOLA has held three lease-signing sessions in Guernsey, Noble and Monroe Counties.  SEOLA leases negotiated for  Noble and Monroe County landowners were responsive to landowner needs in those counties, containing a drilling commitment in the first three years, which, if not fulfilled, results in either the lease being terminated or an additional upfront bonus payment, along with extensive landowner protection provisions.

The Riverfront landowners group, a member of SEOLA, worked closely with Jennifer Garrison and the  lawyers of Bricker and Eckler. As a team, we brought back a great lease for over 200 landowners. If you want to join a landowners group that's not spread all over the county, then come to the Benton and Perry Townships meeting on Monday, May 7th, 6:30 p.m. at the Antioch fire station or the Salem Township meeting on Tuesday, May 8th, 6:30 p.m. at the Clarington fire station. Using the rifle effect, these two groups will be focusing on signing large blocks of contiguous acreage.  This model is what the oil and gas companies are looking for.  When the group works together towards gaining critical mass, everyone wins. Experience matters.

No Bill I'm not getting paid. My acreage will be my only pay. I want to see every landowner in the county do well. We had great success on the riverfront and SEOLA is great to work with. I not going to tit for tat you on your questions. If you want the answers come to a meeting. Like I said experience matters.
