They have been in Wayne county talking to landowners in January.
No I'm talking about Wellington trying to sign leases in Monroe county. The lease I saw was a flipper lease. It is a delayed payment lease. Please beware of these flipper leases, they tie you up for a long period of time with no promises. My advice is join a landowners group in you immediate area that has professionals who has closed deals that will work with the local landowners.

Frank Ellis did you happen to read that rejection letter fron the Flipper ILG on here satating why they were releasing 5 most eastern counties, including, Lee, Ohio & jackson? what were your thiughts on that?

Yes Tom I did. I think the answer they gave was wrong. Magnum Hunter is drilling in WV right across the river from Monroe county and they are excited about the amount of liquids they are getting. ILG thought this was going to be easy. Well guess what? It's not! That's why you need professionals helping you to get a good lease. This is a big boys game and these flippers had no strategy for what they were signing up. My guess is that these producers want lawyer run groups or nothing but their contracted Landmen. The reason is they bring only clean acreage to the table.
