The Southwest Coshocton Landowners Association, SCLA has acreage in these three North West Townships of Muskingum County : Jackson,  Cass & Madison areas. You are welcome to join our group. We will have our next  group meeting Feb 2nd at the Ttri-Valley High School in Dresden.

 The SCLA wesbsite at www.swcola.org is almost complete.

 Our next meeting is at Tri-Valley High School Thurs Feb 2nd, 7PM-9PM in Dresden.

  I have requested a county group be formed here, the Muskingum/Licking County Group. Simple because we have no group here and already operations are taking place that many in the two counties are ill informed upon. Although a combined  it will allow a split off into two separate counties. 

 Many are under leases in the GOM but it does not stop there. Everyone of us needs to protect our interest. We have anti fracktivist that run a program to stop fracking. If that takes place while your asleep and without your public objection you might as well go to bed. You must be active in protecting your interest. How you might ask? Take time to submit letters to editors of newspaper when you see opposition to our interest. Take time to post comments into articles that tend to take away your property rights. Write a letter to a company director and ask them to have their public relations act not only upon your interest but theirs as well in the public media.

  We are a minority (Smokers are a minority) we sat back and said oh they will never ban smoking at a VFW. You know what happened there don't we? If this state slams on the brakes on fracking through a moratorium it gives the anti forces a see we have no problems with a ban as no one objected and it works because we have had no fracking pollution. We need a permanent ban will be their next battle cry.

  To much at stake for us to be couch potatoes, you might make a difference, but you will not know if you don't try. You never blogged before? Guess what the Wright Brothers never flew until they tried.

Not as a Landowners Group but as a GOM informational group, but a landowners group has kind of has me thinking.

What law firm are the SCLA using,  there was a meeting last night in Highwater, Ohio in licking County with Critchfield, Critchfield & Johnston, Ltd. is this who you guys are using? Thanks

David,

 SCLA has interviewed ...

 1) Alan Wenger & partners from Harrington, Hoppe & Mitchel (the famous ALOV law firm)

 2) Co-Exprise

 At the next meeting James Mileson & Law Firm is scheduled to speak.

  

 SCLA has not hired any law firm, yet.

 

 We are asking KWGD or others to speak at the following meetings.

 Tentatively, the  SCLA members will vote on a Law Firm May - June time frame?

 

 Another landowners group North of SCLA has hired CC&J.

Utica and David any others. Licking county sounds as if the Landowners are possibly being picked off. I would like to try and keep the Licking / Muskingum County group as well informed as I can.  We should have some choices be known. Thanks guys.
