I have recently been approached by the company that holds my oil and gas lease about building a portion of a well pad access road on my property.
I am aware that for pipelines, Ohio has the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Division of Soil & Water Conservation, Pipeline Standards and Construction Specifications guide. But, is there a similar guideline for design and construction of access roads? Or, is there an appropriate engineering guideline or standard that could reasonably be applied to an access road?
I would like to include, or reference, a recognized civil engineering standard in the road agreement that can be used should any disputes arise regarding design or construction.
