I'm new to "gomarcellusshale", as well as new to this business. We have a 152 acre farm with "Clinton" gas wells which supply our needs.
We've been approached by Fossil Creek Energy Corp (FCEC) for $50/acre, 12.5% Royalty, and $10,000 if a well is drilled. We are sitting on the Utica Strata. I've carefully read the lease and am very suspicious of the terms. We are consulting attorneys. I don't see any members from Noble County..and some interesting notes from Guernsey which lead me to suspect the FCEC lease. Can they broker a lease after signing "cheap"?
We have news of ARTEX Oil offering leases in our County, they're out of Marietta. Any comment on FCEC, ARTEX, and my suspicions would be welcomed!

Robert, I wouldn't worry too much about this. I don't think Kasich will allow anyone to stand in the way of progress.

It appears that the original writer of this story couldn't back up his statement regarding the oozing bubbles in cement line.......all heresay!
Anyone know of Noble County people who are NOT in the following townships who have had good offers?
Noble County people who are NOT from these townships:
Noble township, Beaver township, Wayne township, Buffalo township, Seneca township, Center township
I would have listed the other townships, but I don't know all of them.
Thanks!
Remember that the KWGD bid/offer is a snapshot of where things were on Sept 15. This whole siuation is very fluid and new players surface almost daily. What is thought not to be valuable now may turn out to be hot next year as wells are drilled. Keep an open mind and evaluate your options. One of the good things about the KWGD process is that you can withdraw all the way up to you sign the lease. If what is currently being offered does not meet your personal needs/expectations you can wait and roll the dice for something better. Good luck with whatever you choose.

AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
