I thought I would share a new website which shows gas well sites for Sullivan County.  It is run by the Sullivan County Office of Planning and Development.

The link is www.sullivancounty-pa.us/files/planning/SullCoGas_Web.pdf

It is suppose to be updated every month or so.

I would love to check it out. The website appears to be down on 11/19/10.
It's working on my computer.
It was up when I checked again. Thanks Jeff. Does anyone know how to get a copy of A
a permit? I would love to see the maximum size of the proposed unit as well as # of potential drill sites.
Hi Everyone,

The Sullivan County map has been updated for December.
Not coming up for me comes up as an error. This is something I really have been looking for can any one send it to me? Thanks
Tom,
I attached a pdf to this reply. You can also look at this Google map of permits I found from September 21rst 2010. I also used it to create my own Google map showing my property location which was helpful with some communications.

Here is another view of well permits. It plots all the data from DEP for the whole state in google maps.

Let me know if it is helpful.

Thank you,

Does anyone know how to access a map or where to look online for drilling units that are set up, specifically in Cherry Twp, Sullivan county.

Thanks Tom& Andy these are very helpful with the information as well as the well sites

Jeff, Thanks very much for this post. So much makes sense now as to how they are getting the gas from the wells to market. It's coming sooner than I would have thought.
According to the map you posted, I was able to understand why a new road was put in from Dushore to Overton. The old road was fine for water trucks, sand, everything else kind of truck. But seeing this map I understand...they put the gasline under the road. No straight shot to the major trunks and have to deal with right of way worries, just pay for a new road and sink the line in there. Problems later, tear the road up. Don't have to haul equipment back in the bush... It all makes sense to me.
Now the question to you is...how can I find this same sort of map for Bradford Co? I've tried several ways and come up empty. Any help there? Richard
Hi Richard,

I think you are confused by the map. It shows that the Dushore/Overton road was posted with a weight limit. The gas company needed to upgrade it to run the big trucks on it. I am not aware of any pipelines put under the road.

As for a map to the Bradford County wells and pipelines look under the Bradford County section and click on the maps entry. You will see I posted a link from the Bradford County Planning Commission that shows the wells and pipelines as of October 8, 2010.
