Notice of Assessment?

Noticed these in Landex - with landowner(s) as Grantor and ERI or ERM as the Grantee.    Did several pop-ups and the info showed they were Ref. a ROW ########

 

I'm guessing they have something to do with pipelines, but don't know.

The PA Department of Revenue has decided to apply a realty transfer tax on pipeline rights of way.  The notice just tabulates the amounts due.  The operators are picking up the tab.

Thank you!  Must be a r-o-w is considered a long term lease.  The plus side is that half the tax stays in Tioga County.  That is, assuming the amount collected is worth the cost of collecting it.
