Just curious...
I am in Liberty township and a few months ago got an offer to buy my royalties for 1500 to 1800 per acre, but they would do a more in-depth look if I was serious which "mite change the numbers" slightly....even tho I am not drilled or receiving any royalties ..talked to a landsman rite b4 I contacted them and he advised caution as there will be "significant" activity in my area in the "near future"....how about it, anybody else get an offer or hear anything or see any activity here in Tioga Co. ?

Permalink Reply by George Donovan on January 9, 2015 at 1:28am Dave, I think it is the other way around. Shell proved up this area by there persistence and Range updated there map. Ranges prior maps didn't show any GIP in Tioga. If you are fortunate enough to have a lease with Shell you can be sure that they will have a look eventually.
Permalink Reply by N Bohl on January 9, 2015 at 4:03am I mentioned this in a different post - there is at least one well in the center of the county that was permitted for 12,000+ feet depth which is the Trenton. It is a long horizontal. I thought that was an odd - maybe another test?
Permalink Reply by N Bohl on January 9, 2015 at 4:35am It is in Charleston Township - exactly in the center of the county, just off Charleston Road. I don't remember seeing any wells at this depth in the county.
Permalink Reply by N Bohl on January 9, 2015 at 4:42am Your welcome - I mention it because it seems unusual. I noticed it because that is the area I pay most attention to. There could be other wells or permits like that but I have never heard of them. It shows clearly on SWEPI's permit that it is the Trenton. I guess I wonder if that might produce something other than dry gas.

AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
