Just curious...

I am in Liberty township and a few months ago got an offer to buy my royalties for 1500 to 1800 per acre, but they would do a more in-depth look if I was serious which "mite change the numbers" slightly....even tho I am not drilled or receiving any royalties ..talked to a landsman rite b4 I contacted them and he advised caution as there will be "significant" activity in my area in the "near future"....how about it, anybody else get an offer or hear anything or see any activity here in Tioga Co. ?

That's right - the new wells will be pretty impressive. It's going to be a really big unit, and I'm expecting potentially the best production we've seen in the County to date.

Anyone know what a DEP Permit for " Well Plugging Notice Alternate Method" means?  Why would a gas company want to plug a new well or plans for new wells before being drilled?  I understand what a plugged well means but I`m confused about what "Alternate Method" means.  Is this just a different approach to shutting-in a well until a later date?

For anyone who is interested, Our royalty check increased  75 percent from the month before.  Unfortunetly  the statement we receive from SWN Production Company LLC  does not print out any information as to  production of the gas wells. To receive production information, a request has to be made by logging into  Southwestern owner relations website.    Granddad Ladd

Give me the name of your unit and each well you get royalty from and I will look the info up for you.

Sorry GotGas but that information is private. However I will say that that the extra 75% is very much welcomed. A few months ago another member here blasted the bejabbers out of me simply because I lived in Pennsylvania and received a few dollars from my acreage. He tried to blame me for the fact that he, having property in New York state, was not receiving any royalty from his own New York state property.  He finally cooled off and realized that 'I was not personally responsible' for his situation.    Granddad Ladd

Good for you Granddad.  I`m happy to learn you are gaining more revenue from your royalties.

Good morning FarmGas.  After watching the gas price dropping for many months and our royalty checks dropping to a point where they were hardly worth going to the mail box to pick them up.  Royalty payments are always a couple months behind the actual time of production and then there is the daily ups and downs of value that has to be figured out. Having said this, we wont notice any real increase as quoted today and previous days for a month or so.  Granddad Ladd

Many of us have been affected by the world wide take down of Facebook.  And I was too.  I mistakenly thought it was a password problem. I've had a few password password difficulties before.  Anyway I expressed my error  in thinking processes here on this site. Yesterday I was able to access my facebook account. It just goes to demonstrate that the internet is subjected to a few misplaced button pushing operations. And how hundreds of millions of users lives can be upset and maybe even destroyed. Take heart and be glad that things are back to a semblance of normalcy once again!   Granddad Ladd

It sounds like there's some new leasing activity in Tioga County, particularly in the Lawrence Township area, but possibly in other townships too. None of this has been happening in townships where I have any open acreage, but it could impact others who have followed this area over the years. There are definitely more players out there than we've seen in some time. $8 gas probably explains most of that!

Showalter hit 20 million a day for first full month of production from their highest producing well,The next two months should be the best.

Hello Paleface.  Long time no conversation.  (Not much from anybody actually.)  So, is this a large amount?  I would have thought that Showalters had been in production a few months ago.
